About Us

Our Space

At Cherry Tree Early Learning, we’ve created a space thoughtfully designed for your child’s early years. From educational toys and learning stations to child-sized furniture and washroom fixtures, every detail is crafted to inspire growth and curiosity. Soft cork floors and bright, open spaces provide a warm, nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Located just minutes from local elementary schools, Cherry Tree is a TV-free zone that fosters creativity and exploration. Our welcoming environment provides the perfect foundation for children to build confidence, imagination, and a love for learning.

Our Program

Cherry Tree is owned and run by Enma Guevara, a qualified educator who brings a bilingual approach, speaking both Spanish and English. With small group sizes of just eight children, Enma ensures that each child receives individual attention in a supportive setting.

Designed for children aged 30 months to 5 years, our program blends creative play with a structured preschool curriculum. Children explore topics like nature, numbers, adoption, and intercultural awareness through daily story times, outdoor nature walks, and monthly puppet shows. Special visits from community guests add exciting real-world connections to their learning journey.

Meet Enma

Owner / Educator

Becoming an Early Childhood Educator and opening a childcare center has been a lifelong dream that began during my time in Peru. As a nanny, I realized my true calling was to provide children with the love and education that would open doors to endless opportunities.

I believe every child is special and unique, and it’s a privilege to partner with parents in helping their little ones flourish. At Cherry Tree, we embrace the philosophy that play is the serious work of childhood—our days are always busy with this important task!

Since opening our doors in the fall of 2006, Cherry Tree has been a space where children grow, learn, and thrive. I earned my Early Childhood Care and Education certification from Camosun College in Victoria in 2002, and I’m honored to continue this work in a place I love.
